Dieser Armagnac wurde 1977 von Maison Aurian aus Ugni Blanc Trauben in Bas Armagnac, Frankreich hergestellt.
Er reifte für 50 Jahre in einem Eichenfass und wurde für Armagnac Sponge in Fassstärke mit 45.2% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Alambic Armagnacais verwendet.
Decadent Drinks und der Sponge schreiben zum Aurian 1977: „This is Armagnac Sponge Edition No.3 and it is a single cask of 1977 vintage Armagnac bottled at 45 years of age and natural cask strength.
1977 is an excellent but super rare vintage, thanks to an unusually low harvest that year. All of which makes this wee bottling a total gem and a bit of a no-brainer for us when it came to selecting our latest Armagnac Sponge.
A perfect natural strength and bags of concentrated dark fruits, honey and intricate wood spices. Luscious, decadent and something undeniably very special!“.
